This is a song from the first album that I ever bought with my own money.

ELO - I still have the 45 of Don't Bring Me Down! Anyone know the year it was released or the song on the flip side off hand? I'd have to go look, I'm sure.

Blessings!

I think it is off of the same double album as Mr. Blue Sky so it would be...1978??? I have no idea what is on the flip side but it is probably off of the same album.

Guys I hope you enjoy this as much as I did

Don't Bring Me Down (Electric Light Orchestra song - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia)

I was right about 1979! But it was on the Discovery album.

Yes, Andrew, I saw that one before but I didn't post it because I thought PB had certain guidlines prohibiting aesthetically and intellectually offensive material.

The first video seemed like post-Beatles. The next video (Flower People) reminds me of The Monkeys. The next one (Do Ya) appears AC/DCish, and the last one (Xanadu) rings like OMD.

Just so there is no confusion, the Flower People video was not ELO. That was Christopher Guest from the movie "This Is Spinal Tap".

Thanks Ken. I had a Greek professor say that he wished the media player he had in class went to eleven. I was the only one who laughed and he simply said to the class, "An obscure quote from a movie" and kept going. Probably just as well.
