I was wondering if anyone had read this book "Through Many Dangers: The Story of John Newton" by Brian Edwards. I understand the latest revision was in 2001.
One of the latest serious biographies of John Newton has Arminians commending it so it made me wonder how good it was! On the other hand, Edwards is an esteemed Reformed pastor so I wondered if his biography was a better option as a quality biography of Newton.
Talking of Newton, I loved Reinke's book "Newton on the Christian life". One of the best practical books on the Christian life I have read.
