(Rom 5:1) Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:

(Rom 5:2) By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

(Rom 5:3) And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;

(Rom 5:4) And patience, experience; and experience, hope:

(Rom 5:5) And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.

(Rom 5:6) For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.

(Rom 5:7) For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die.

(Rom 5:8) But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

(Rom 5:9) Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.

(Rom 5:10) For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.

(Rom 5:11) And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement.

You will be missed Scott. Godspeed in all things. It has been very moving to see the love and forgiveness on this thread by all.

James 5:16
Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

Scott, thank you very much for your post. I doubt that any of us are in a position to cast stones. But we are all very much in need of examples of how justified sinners deal with ongoing sin in their lives. This post is a wonderful example of that.
God bless you.

From time-to-time I think of Scott, wondering how things are going for him. Anybody heard from him about how he's doing?

Scott, I don't whether or not you view the board in lurk mode, but if you do I just wanted to let you know you are missed here. Hope all is well with you and yours,

Bob

Scott,

That took a great deal of humility on your part. Needless to say, I'm sure it was a reminder to all of us about being humble -- even in a position of leadership.

Get some rest, stay in Him, and be encouraged.
