I think Beza gets left behind in history, but should not. Our systematized view of particular redemption can better be traced to him than to Calvin (even though I believe Calvin held this view). I took a class on Calvin, and Beza was still only mentioned briefly towards the end of the lectures. He deserves more respect, hehe!
