Is the Trinity Psalter set up like the 1650 Scottish Psalter in that each psalm has a common meter version? If not, how is the meter set up in the Trinity Psalter?

I believe it is one of the RPCNA psalters, John (the words, that is). I don't have my copy here at home, but If I recall correctly it is published by Crown and Covenant. One of the "differences" between it and the RPCNA version (besides the size and number of versions of each psalm) is that some of the tunes have been replaced to correspond to hymn tunes in the Trinity Hymnal.

It is not all in common metre. There are a varietie of metres derived from the Book of Psalms for Singing and the Trinity Hymnal. At the bottom of the selections it tells you what metre it is in and suggests the name of a tune, the corresponding selection from the BPFS (e.g. 67A) and where applicapble the name of a familiar hymn to that tune.
