Typographical Error of the Year (So Far)

Penguin Books in Australia had to destroy 7,000 copies of a new cookbook due to a typographical error. In the instructions for a recipe, a line read: "...add a little salt and ground black people" - instead, obviously, of "...ground black pepper."

A Penguin spokesman (spokespenguin?) could only say that cookbooks can be very difficult to proofread. I imagine so...
