For we truly are so corrupted by nature with sin, that after we have received benefits, we are more perverse, and disobedient unto God, than we were before. And we see by experience, that they which have come from extreme beggary and penury, to great riches and possessions, and from the dunghill to Nobility, have been then more insolent and unthankful then they were before.
