Welcome to the 2024 PB Pick'em Bowl Bash! ** Kick-off is 8pm CDT, Tuesday, Dec 17 **

Edward - Your entries ended with the LSU game... you're missing 4 games... I want to overcome your 3 point lead, but I wanna do it fair and square.
Thanks. Obviously a preacher and not a lawyer. Added below the line in my edit. And I'd rather you win than me. I barely had time to get entries selected in November. I wouldn't have had time to put a competition together. December has been lighter at work.

The returns are early, but I'm off to a 4-0 start thus far. I'll probably end up close to .500 by the times the cemetery precincts get counted. >:(

Happy Monday, folks! Or should I say Merry Christmas Adam - because Adam came before Eve...
Anyway, one week of Bowl Bash games is behind us and as we enter the 2nd week of matchups I thought I'd give an update on the score.
(All scores presented INCLUDE any bonus points.)

In the first week Willis was on fire and he has totally overcome Edward and Andrew who enjoyed a lead out of the gate thanks to their bonus points. So Willis begins the 2nd week in the lead and as the person to beat!

Willis - 11
Edward, Andrew - 10
Rick, Brad, Jason, Todd - 9
Lane, Me - 8

Additionally, the first round games of the CFP have been played and the Quarterfinal games are set. Option A players - your bracket was submitted previously and we're just waiting to see how it plays out.

However, at this time Option B participants (@Edward , @Northern Crofter , @Sovereign Grace , @greenbaggins , @No Other Name , and @SolaScriptura) may submit their Quarterfinal picks. QUARTERFINAL PROGNOSTICATIONS ONLY at this time.
1. Please post them BELOW (and don't edit your original submission post).
2. You have until 6pm on Dec 31 to submit your picks.

Was just wondering if we could have an update....Thanks!

Arizona State
Boise State
Oregon
Notre Dame

VRBO Bowl - Penn State
Chick Fil A Bowl - Texas (I know, they only have a 14 point spread, so I'm out on a limb with this one.
Prudential Bowl - Oregon (At least the bowl formerly known as Rose stuck to a traditional Pac10 - Big10 matchup.
Allstate Bowl - Georgia (Yes, violating my basic rule here out of loyalty. And in remembrance of an earlier meet up in the then Sugar Bowl with a really long on-side kick. And the Dawgs may put their best quarterback on the field for this game.) And while I like to win, Ben has put waaaay to much work into it this season, and I wouldn't have had the time to do a decent job this past November if i had won last year.

Whoa! you're submitting your picks awfully early... everything ok?

Good morning all

This has been some of the worst watches in college football in a long while. I will post my picks later. I would right now, but my gut instinct matches exactly Ben's picks, and no offense brother, but that scares me. hahahaha

Penn State is the closest to a sure bet. I went back and forth on Arizona / Texas. Oregon / Ohio State is probably the best matchup. As for Georgia / Notre Dame, who knows. If Stockton is the QB and can get the team to play the whole game instead of just the second half, they should win. If the Dawgs spot the papists 3 touchdowns early because the coach can't motivate them until halftime, they won't be able to come back.

All I'm saying is that as a matter of strategery y'all need to balance your picks against those of people who picked Option A.
If THEY are right, then picking the same games as them is pointless because while you get ONE point, they get TWO. Your only chance is to make points where they don't.

IF your concern is trying to win it, that is.

Well, I’m just going with who I think will win and let the chips fall where they may.

All righty, folks! Its Christmas... after a delightful morning of family worship (we begin our Christmas morning with about a 30 minute family worship service... we started this family tradition when the kiddos were super young) followed by opening presents... everything has calmed down for an hour or so before the afternoon meal prep commences.

Sitting here sipping an eggnog latte and thought I'd give a quick update as the score tally is always in flux... last night's Hawaii Bowl was arguably the best bowl game so far (in my opinion) and I enjoyed it thoroughly. Nice bonus that my picked team came out on top.

Willis is still on top and is on FIRE so far... he's only got 1 game wrong so far! Incredible! (Again, all scores include bonus points.)

Willis - 13
Andrew, Rick - 12
Brad, Todd - 11
Edward, Jason, Lane, Me - 10

Well, I went 1-2 yesterday and now the freefall begins. :banghead::blah::whatswrong:o_O:nowork:
Well, to be fair, most of us went 1-2 yesterday :)
Man! I went 4-1 yesterday! 4 losses and 1 measly win.
At least you got one win! I've gotten two right for the last NINE games!

Incidentally over the stretch of those nine games, only NIU, Syracuse, and Arkansas were favorites and won - it has been underdog city for a while!
