I'm really excited about my recent acquisition! Are there any other Wendell Berry fans out there?

I've heard a lot about him on Mars Hill Audio Journal (always positive), but I haven't read anything by him myself. That Journal sure has encouraged me to read more widely. I'd be interested to hear what you think of Berry's work.

I'm reading a novel of his right now called "A place on Earth." I'll be sure to post some more thoughts about his work and ideas once I get my order in.

I recall him being a gifted writer and an observant reporter on life, but not at all in alignment with scripture. About 15 years ago, I read many of his essays and really enjoyed them.
