Where will you be found on the day of death?

Regi Addictissimus

Completely sold out to the King
The following is taken from one of my all-time favorite books on spiritual warfare, Richard Alleine's The World Conquered By the Faithful Christian:

Speak, worldlings, let your consciences speak. When death comes to arrest your souls, would you choose to be found wallowing in your worldly lusts, steeped in sensuality, laden with worldly cares, loaded with earthly goods, and as empty of the knowledge and grace of God as you are this day? Would you have that written on your forehead, when you come to stand before that dreadful tribunal, which was written concerning Doeg the Edomite, "Lo, this is the man that made not God his strength; but trusted in the abundance of his riches, and strengthened himself in his wickedness"? Psalm 52:7.

Will you henceforth become enemies to the world? Will you deal with the world as an enemy; will you fear it as an enemy; will you fight against it in Christian warfare as an enemy? Shall the Lord be your God; shall the Lord be your Friend; shall the Lord be your Shield, your Refuge, and the Rock of your salvation? Will you cast away all your idols, and will you come and be reconciled to God? What say you? Will you be crucified to this world, and go on in the pilgrimage (saints are strangers and pilgrims in this world) for the other world?

God has said, "Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world," 1 John 2:15. Consider the Scripture, "Now then wc arc ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God," 2 Corinthians 5:20.
