Which Matthew Commentary by R.T. France?

I have been wanting a commentary on Matthew, R.T France has been recommended, but I have found he wrote one for New International Commentary as well as the Tyndale New Testament Commentaries, is one better that the other? I lean more towards Tyndale because the price is more to my liking.

The Tyndale series volumes are shorter, more abbreviated, less technical commentaries. In some cases (this may be one, I don't know) the Tyndale work may be in certain respects an abridgment of the same author's longer treatment elsewhere.

The longer and more expensive book is going to be more exhaustive in its treatment, deal with technical issues, address more disputes between scholars/interpreters over specific meaning.

I don't have the commentary but this thread piqued my interest and I went to amazon's reviews, which I always do if I'm interested in a particular book. The New International Commentary has been very well received by these reviewers. Might be worth a look. Both of the commentaries are reviewed BTW, in separate listings.
