You have just described most democratically elected politicians. There are problems with monarchy, to be sure, but if the above is a problem, then it equally applies to 95% of democracies and republics.One reason I dislike monarchy is that it is fundamentally based on the principle that the monarch of the nation holds the power even if the monarch ruling has no information or education in the matters on which he is asking to rule on. Most monarchs vote for what is best for him or what he wants rather than what is best for the nation or common good.
