I just wrote a new composition for a hymn, but now it needs the words. Anyone want to give it a try? I can send over an audio file.

Yes, I agree. I'm hoping someone could take the meter, tempo, and feel of the tune, and fit words to it. Hopefully all roads lead to Rome.I'm not a poet, so there's no way I will try. However, as a classically-trained musician, I will say that historically it is usually the text that comes before the tune. It's not always done that way, but most of the time it is, often because the text and its features tend to dictate the tempo, shape/contour, meter, key, etc., of the tune and accompaniment. Doing it "backwards," although obviously not wrong, can be somewhat difficult (unless the tune is already written in a way that fits very common poetry meters).
I look forward to hearing it when it is finished!

Haha. Absolutely. Send me the seven words and we'll make this easy. JK. No, like a traditional hymn.Is it set up for a 7/11 song?
Hopefully all roads lead to Rome
This is clearly the wrong forum for a song like that.
Sorry. All roads lead to Scotland. Is that better? This is clearly the wrong forum for a song like that.
It would be hard to pick a topic. I haven't counted the meter. What us the general feel of the tune -- what topic would be appropriate? What is the metre?
