I'll go see it!

:up::up:

Indiana Jones, Rocky, and Rambo all within the same year or so! Are we back in the 80's again?
Don't forget the final Die Hard they made and the fourth Beverly Hills Cop in the works.

All these aging stars want to relive one final glory round with their most treasured characters and the studios all seem willing to expand the franchises to fourth installments....because it is bankable.

Thing is, Hollywood can't come up with anything that's as good as the old stuff. I find it pretty funny. Maybe we'll eventually get back to Bogart films!

"Here's lookin at you kid!"

Don't count me out, I'm writing some pretty fun screenplays at the moment, one is an adventure film set in Borneo and the other a fun Sherlock Holmes caper.

Well I have to sell something first but I'm confident in my abilities and ideas. I just turned 24 little more than a week a go so it will take time.

I would say that Harrison Ford is one of the few stars who has yet to make a really bad film. All of them are good story-lines with little to no bad language or sex.

lol, yes that's the one. I am a big Harrison fan and have seen all of his movies as I normally trust they'll be good.

Watch it!!!!!
Harrison Ford is 65, Sly Stallone is 60, Eddie Murphy is closing in on 50, Bruce Willis is 55, Arnold lobbied for a third Terminator movie in 2003 before hitting politics and is now 60.

They are old for action stars, cinema is not kind to aging * leading men in swashbuckling roles.

* emphasis added:D

To be honest he's been flat since Air Force One, the last Ford blockbuster I enjoyed.

Since then his resume has consisted of a string of luke warm receptions and outright flops:

The Devil's Own 1997
Six Days/ Seven Nights 1998
Random Hearts 1999
What Lies Beneath 2000
K-19: The Widowmaker 2002
Hollywood Homicide 2003
Firewall 2006

Well, 6 days 7 nights was BAD. No sex or terrible language, but the movie was pretty terrible.

That was the one with Ellen DeGeneres' girlfriend, wasn't it? I never saw it, nor had any desire to.

So, we'll credit him with one very bad movie.
I can name many:
Frantic 1988
Working Girl 1988
Sabrina 1995
The Devil's Own 1997
Random Hearts 1999
Hollywood Homicide 2003
Firewall 2006

He needs another hit, Indy is just what the career doctor ordered especially after his costly divorce from Melissa Mathison that will see the royalties from all of his hits made during their marriage (1983-2005) go to her pocket and not his.

Woooooooooo!!! Go Indy!! I'm definitely going to watch that and will have to re-watch all three once school lets out on Wednesday.

Just watched Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade the other day for the first time in a long time. Wow, that's going to be a tough one to top. What a great movie! I have mixed emotions about this new one. I'm glad to see Indy back on the big screen, but I think the Last Crusade was the one to end it on.

Spielberg and the producers have sworn that the fourth installment will be in the vein of the original Raiders of the Lost Ark in terms of pacing, action and humor.

He'll be fighting commies this go around instead of Nazis the nemesis will be Soviet.

Talk about plot spoiling! This is like being told before the re-release of the remastered Star Wars series that Greedo shoots at Han Solo first.

Spoilers? I gave away nothing, I could've said that Shia LeBeuf will play Indy's son or that Cate Blanchett will be the chief villain.:smug:;)
