John Frame turned 80 last Monday (4/8).
Yesterday, Albert N. Martin turned 85 (4/11).
Please pray for him. Volume 2 of his Pastoral Theology has just been published and, in an "Addition to the Preface" (p. xii), he tells us that he had a stroke on October 16 of last year, just as the manuscript for Volume 2 was being readied to be sent to the typesetter. Two of his ministerial colleagues stepped in to help him give the manuscript a final read.
There is still one more volume to be published. Please pray that Pastor Martin will regain health and strength and, with God's help, be able to complete this last volume. The impression I have is that his stroke was not too serious, and I hope I'm not wrong about that.
In any case, I'm hoping he had a nice 85th birthday yesterday.
