Augustine's works on Music

Just wondering if anyone has studied Augustine's works on music (studies on melody, harmony etc) and if this has any relevance for today. I would also be interested in any resources available.

His chief work, De Musica, is interesting but bears little resemblance to what we would call musical theory today. A lot of it deals with mathematics, especially fractions.
