What does everybody think about this new multi media website? I browsed through it last night and it seems to be done very well. Is anyone planing on using it? I have read a broad range of feelings about Vision Forum on the PB. I dont agree with everything Doug Phillips does or believes, but I have to admit he puts together high quality projects. Anybody on the PB know of anyone who is putting together high quality Reformed material? What can we learn from Vision Forum about how they present and dissimenate material?

Hmm...looks interesting.

This type of discussion would fall under a much larger category because there are a number of other sites like this as well (GodTube, Christian book stores in general, etc, etc).

I haven't looked much at the site but what I do know is this: a lot of "Christianized" versions of things (for this example, we will take a Reformed Christian bookstore) are not at the level of their "secular" counterpart. When I go to buy a book I look for the cheapest price regardless of who the seller is (unless of course their company does or promotes something against the moral law). So, a lot of times Amazon.com will have a book for cheaper. Is it wrong for me to not support my fellow Christian's bookstore because I don't shop there? I don't think so. We have a free market and competition is fierce. So the reality a lot of times is that these "Christian" counterparts are not able to survive unless they are enough of a distinction, etc, etc.

But this opens up a big can of worms :worms:

It brings up issues such as the spirituality of the church, etc.

But...I do agree with you that Doug Phillips puts out some quality work. The site is impressive. But will it be able to compete?
