Beware of..... John Piper???

Apparently there have been some issues with John Piper.

Does anyone know any more about this then I do?

Piper, from every sermon I've listened to, and from what I've read, has been very sound. He even wrote a whole book defending justification and answering back to N.T Wrights views on it.

What do you all think of this?

I really wish John would talk about these issues, from the allowing Doug Wilson to speak, to Rick Warren, and little stuff keeps popping up. I hate it though, John always seemed so sound.

As a general rule, I would not take seriously a blogger who has to spend two paragraphs or more on a book that is in some church library. You would be amazed at the books that end up in church libraries.

Be cautious with all teachers of the Word- search the Scriptures. Follow them as they follow Christ. And don't put too much weight into an independent who has made himself out to be the watchdog for the entire Church of Christ. (And if you want to read that last statement as a pro-presbyterian church government statement... you are right. )

As a whole, Piper is sound and orthodox. I'm just glad that most of us on this board are not inspected as closely as Piper and others....
