here's a brain teaser for you (not to hard)

A man leaves his apartment and takes the elevator on the 50th floor and goes to the first floor to go to work. When he comes back home he takes the elevator to the 40th floor and climbs the last 10 floors. He does this every day.
why?

ps he doesn't do it for the exercise or to meet someone.

Because when he got off the elevator on the 40th floor he nervously knocked on his blind date's door.

She opened it and was as beautiful and charming as everyone had said.

"I'll be ready in a few minutes," she said.

"Why don't you play with my dog Rollo while you are waiting?

He does wonderful tricks. He rolls over, shakes hands and sits up, and if you make a hoop with your arms, he'll jump through."

The dog followed Paul onto the balcony and started rolling over.

Paul made a hoop with his arms and Rollo jumped through and over the rail of the balcony.

Just then Paul's date walked out.

"Isn't Rollo the cutest, happiest dog you've ever seen?" she gushed.

Paul panicked. "To tell the truth," he said, "he seemed a little depressed to me."

here's another one
you die and go to a room with two doors on your right one leads to heaven and the other to hell but you don't know which one is which.
there are two men on your left chained to the wall they know where the doors lead to but one will always lie and one will always tell the truth. of course you don't know the liar from the honest man.
Now you have one question to ask one of these men so you can get to heaven. WHAT is the EXACT question you ask?

nice try but no. both of them would say the other one and you still can't get to the right door.

the truthful one would say he doesn't always tell the truth, since no one does, the liar would say he always tells the truth, which of course is a lie.

No, that question does it all. If you asked it to the truthful person, he would tell you which door the liar would say is Heaven, which is the wrong door. If you asked it to the liar, he would tell you the opposite of which door the truthful person would say is Heaven, which is the wrong door. Either way, you know whatever answer you get from either one of them is the wrong door.
