Before I order, are these mostly or partly the same text?

Concerning the Eternal Predestination of God

and

The Bondage and Liberation of the Will

Would you recommend one over the other?

THanks

They are not the same at all. They are both worth having and the Eternal Pred. is an EXCELLENT work by Calvin - it should have been included in the Institutes.

GReat many thanks.

While you're here, what thoughts do you have about Edwards Freedom of the Will, and Luther's Bondage of the Will?

Gracias from a native Miamian.

Actually, isn't [i:9c1eb1db7b]Concerning the Eternal Predestination of God[/i:9c1eb1db7b] just one part of the larger book [i:9c1eb1db7b]Calvin's Calvinism[/i:9c1eb1db7b]?

Radar,

Luther's Bondage of the Will is excellent! It was the straw that broke my Arminian back.

Luther is more engaging...you'll find yourself laughing out loud while reading him. Probably not so much while reading Edwards...in my opinion, I would recommend reading the Bondage before The Freedom.

thanks fellas

I also think reading modern english translations of old foreign language books is much easier than reading Edwards old english. I ordered The Bondage, Calvins's will book, and eternal predestination.
