Is having babies the new trend for our Hollywood country men? These Hollywood types seem to be on a tear of late whereby they would have babies, and the women would be photographed on the cover of superficial magazines showing off their rounded bellies. Then after the babies are delivered, the pics are sold for humongous sums to magazines and newspapers.

Halle Berry is now in the limelight. Recently was Jennifer Lopez, and before that was Tom Cruise and his wife, and before that was Brad and Angelina.

I don't see it as all bad. It is the warped hollywood way of getting closer to "family values". Maybe even Angelina Jolie's trend of adopting poor orphans and doing humanitarian work might catch on... so I don't think the trend is all bad.

I agree with Perg but I am always taken aback at how we've mainstreamed illegitimacy.

These actors are just trailer trash with money and yet we exalt them so highly. Illegitimacy is one of the great problems in our nation and we definitely have a double standard.

Now - Now, let's not lump trash just to trailers. There are a lot of people that live near me that live in nice houses and are still "trash".

Is there a correlation with being Dawg fans?

Maybe they just built walls around the trailer?

Back in my ranching days we had a trash trailer into which we put trailer trash. We'd haul it to the dump twice a year. It was a major family event. Five of us would crawl into the front (and only) seat of the 1948 Chevy one-ton and head the 12 miles to the landfill. We looked just like the Joads in Steinbeck's book and were proud of it (for some reason nobody ever explained).

The best part was stopping at the small town drive-in for milkshakes. The owner would graciously direct us to park in back and stay in the truck. He said he'd bring out the shakes--no need for us to bother unpacking ourselves from the cab. That guy really cared about his customers' comfort.

Yup, those were the days.
