Covenant Eyes is coming up on renewal in about three weeks for me. Technically, they can't renew it since the original card I purchased with was killed by my bank (some nitwit decided to hot-wire it to a UK-based wire transfer service a couple Lord's Days back), but I'm still looking around for other options.
What I'm looking for is a filtering/accountability service that has similar features to Covenant Eyes, is cheaper (ideally less than $50/year. Sorry folks, freeware doesn't count here since its too easy to take down unnoticed), and will allow me to run whatever programs I need to run and do whatever I need to do without interference from the software on the condition that it doesn't detect anything suspicious. Covenant Eyes has shot itself in the head on that last point due to their interference with iTunes Store as well as their habit to take up a significant amount of my CPU power unnecessarily. I will also need a service (preferably the same group) that has active and efficient internet explorer apps for the iPhone and iPad.
