Cool! That's pretty interesting that our modern "image" of Jesus is likely to have come from Roman rulers. Interesting possible archaelogical and historical implications that could be thought about, perhaps...

To me, it even further confirms my conviction against images of Christ, since we have ABSOLUTELY no clue as to what He looked like.

Unfortunately, this is fuel for the DaVinci Code people who hold to a heretical belief that is similar to one which has been around for a while, that the royal families of Europe are direct descendants of Jesus & Mary Magdalen. I'm sure the real reason for the resemblance is the one suggested by the poster that the pope at that time condoned it. Bleeecccchhhh!:no:
