Church suggestions

Okay, if we look into GPTS...yes they have distance courses...costs a bit more. So IF we happened to move there (dh and I would love to head south anyhow and after 20some years I really miss home and would like to be near my family)...any church suggestions around Greenville? We looked and there are PAGES worth of Presbyterian churches!!!!!! We saw an OPC and a ARPC...are there any RPCNA (or whatever it is that you attend, Andrew ) ?

Also, does anyone have any idea of the job situations there for the common laborer (ie, forklifts, factories, etc)?

Honest, we aren't jumping the gun...just looking. And we have two weeks paid vacation this year to go look (and hopefully head into Charleston )

The RPCNA doesn't have many congregations in the South- I think primarily because of their anti-slavery stance in the 19th century. I checked and there weren't any in SC. Sorry. BTW, Andrew goes to a PRC (Presbyterian Reformed Church).

I used to be a deacon in the RPCNA, but now I am a layman in the Presbyterian Reformed Church. The two denominations have their differences, but also many similarities. Peter is right that there are few RPCNA conregations in the south, although they do exist in places like Florida and Alabama. There is a PRC congregation in Charlotte, North Carolina too.

If you are going to visit the Greenville, South Carolina area, there are certainly many places at which you can worship. If you are interested in a suggestion from yours truly, however, I would recommend one PCA congregation in particular -- the Scottish Presbyterian Kirk of the Covenant. One of my best friends is the pastor (and a professor at GPTS), and I'm sure he would be glad to assist regarding a job search if you are so inclined. If you'd like more details, just let me know.

There are a couple though.RPCNA Churches

I would rather go to a PCA or Presbyterian Free Church.
