I'm currently reading "Memoirs of the Way Home" by Dr. Gerald Bilkes. I was wondering what commentaries or other books on the Ezra/Nehemiah corpus would you all recommend.

John Gill (e-sword free add on) - excellent summary of Jewish literature which he originally spent 3 years(?) immersed in to refute the liberal notion that the Jews were not expecting a Messiah!
Crossways ESV Bible atlas - helped me understand the geography
Derek Kidner's commentary
HGM Williamson - not a commentary in the verse by verse sense but more a book about the two books. Think about the IVP Introduction to the OT which analyses each book rather them commentates. Helped me make a bit more sense of the relationship of the two books but Kidner is a bit more devotional.
