Compact ESV's glued or sewn binding?

have glued or sewn binding?

Its glued.

But it seems to be fairly "flexible." My wife was had one since 2004. Gets daily use, and hasn't fallen apart yet.

The calfskin editions are always sewn. Most others are glued. This edition has print that is extremely small and hard to read. If I wanted an inexpensive, small Crossway ESV, I'd go with the Deluxe Compact or the Personal Reference since they have slightly larger type.

The largest that i want is the deluxe compact (i have a bible holster that i carry it in, so i can't have too big).

The problem is...either you get leather with glue, or trutone with sewn.

Where are you seeing that the Tru-Tone deluxe compact has a sewn binding? From everything I have read, the Tru-tone is better than the genuine or bonded leather. Only the premium calfskin leather is better than the Tru-tone as far as flexibility and durability are concerned (with the Crossway Bibles). If the Tru-Tone is indeed sewn, then that would cinch it for me!

I was wrong...it's a hand-stitched cover, not binding.

Actually I was referring to the pages being sewn rather than glued, not the cover. But thanks, Ivan!

It appears from the Bible Design Blog that this version (Deluxe Compact) does have the sewn binding. The type is SO much more readable than the regular compact. I think they need to discontinue the old compact version, personally.
