Did they say this?

I stumbled across some quotes today which took me aback. I searched google for them and did not really come up with much help. The sites were all staunchly Jewish or anti-Christian in general which had the quotes.

They claim Augustine said "How hateful to me are the enemies of your Scripture! How I wish that you would slay them (the Jews) with your two-edged sword, so that there should be none to oppose your word! Gladly would I have them die to themselves and live to you!" Those brackets seem odd and I am unable to find where they quote this from. 1) Did Augustine say anything like this 2) Did Augustine say this with or without the bracketed part about the Jews. The statements themselves do not seem too wrong when you think of context but I would like to check.

They also quote Calvin concerning Jews as saying "Their [the Jews] rotten and unbending stiffneckedness deserves that they be oppressed unendingly and without measure or end and that they die in their misery without the pity of anyone."

Any help would be much appreciated thanks.

Not sure. I seem to remember reading this somewhere attributed to Luther. Lemme check a couple of resources.

Ad Hominems, they feel that because Luther and Augustine supposedly say these things that these things nullify Christianity.

As far as I read, I have seen no such quotes from Augustine, Luther or Calvin, since most of these people believed that there will be a future conversion of the Jews.
