In candor, it was not just me and him. It was a lunch for some of the younger elder-types in the area. He shared some of his expansive wisdom with us.

Oh! Sorry, I've only heard complaints from overseas thus far. Wonderful!

(runs to look up info on this great modern day scott)

A Great Scottish Presbyterian preacher!

Hey Josh - you want a chuckle? My Mom was Italian Catholic and my Father was raised Knox Presbyterian by his Scottish family (they were right off the boat). My Mom won out on how we were to be raised. I was raised Catholic. Obviously I am now a Reformed believer. So here I am, a Baptist, mixing it up with Presbyterians which is my heritage. Neat, huh?

I saw him once at a Ligoniers conference; he was on a whole different plane. My wife and I looked at each other more than one time wondering what he was talking about.

To add to that, John Piper was there as well. He looked like a mad scientist w/ his long curly hair and glasses. He as well was splitting atoms.

I got to meet him in Huntington, Indiana. He did a Reformed Family Conference for Edgewood Baptist Church.

I love listening to him.
