Drupal for Churches

[rpeters]

I know alot of people here on puritan board work with Wordpress. BUt for those churches that have alot going on in their site or if your like me and can handle the learning curve this might be for you. Check it out:

I've built a CMS for a Church before. Drupal's not bad but its lack of a WYSIWYG editor makes it difficult for many. It's not just your learning curve but the learning curve of the people that might use the site.

There was a time when Wordpress was not really a good option for a Church website and I preferred Drupal but now Wordpress has many good (and *supported*) plugins that make it far superior. The most significant for a Church with Wordpress is a plugin called Powerpress.

I still run 2 sites on Drupal but, in the main, don't like it much anymore.

I agree with Rich. Trying to implement a Drupal site with laymembers was a nightmare.
