Anyone have book recommendations on the history of the Dutch Reformed Tradition? Just wanting to trace the history of Dutch theology to its present day expression in the URCNA.

Check out: "A Faith Worth Teaching: The Heidelberg Catechism’s Enduring Heritage". The first few chapters of the book deal with the history of the Dutch Reformed Church and its early history in North America. Hope this is helpful!

The Secession of 1834 by Arie Baars is a nice little volume on the Afscheiding.

Dutch Reformed Theology by David Wells is another short, easy read on Dutch theologians in America which is also available as part of the one volume Reformed Theology in America.

I know that you asked for books, but I would highly recommend Dr. Cornelis Pronk's class at Puritan Reformed Theological Seminary. It has been recorded and can be obtained from the seminary for a modest fee, to my knowledge. Sample audio is available here.
