First snow

The first snow of the season is falling now outside my window, heavily, and starting to stick. The grass and the street are white. Up to a foot is in the forecast for tonight.

Do I win the first snow prize, or has someone else in high/northern climes had snow already?

Sounds nice. I actually like the snow as long as I don't have to get out in it. I'm from Alabama. Down there everything was shut down whenever a single flake fell.

Every season has its upsides and downsides. I just like to appreciate each season for what it is...otherwise I'd be complaining about the cold in winter and the heat in the summer. But that's me speaking from Kansas here where we do actually get the full 4 seasons...

Don't know about that, but here in St. Louis we do curse the parting of the fallen snow [i.e., shoveling the stuff]

We had snow as well here in New Brunswick, Canada (Moncton to be precise). However, didn't stick....looked almost like a blizzard for about 15 minutes. Time for my snow tires....
