He did not have a bumpersticker on the ark that says, "God loves you and has a great plan for your life."

I personally thought the joke was hilarious. I told a bunch of my friends, and they all thought the same.

And you are right, the more you think about it, the funnier it gets.

I think it's a very profound anecdote. I once asked a staunch arminian friend if she thought that God loves everybody. She answered, "Of course". I asked her, "do you think God loves people who are in hell?" She said, "Yes, and he feels really bad for them that they are there and they didn't accept him in time."

I couldn't think of where to go from there. I could have asked her to consider what's wrong with this picture and then showed her the ark with the bumper sticker. Great food for thought.
