I want to thank you all for all the hospitality extended toward me here on this site. Many of you have challenged me and for that I am thankful. I spend too much time here and believe that it is turning into a god for me. I will miss you guys and please take care...you all will be in my prayers. I have asked Joshua to discontinue my membership. Cheers!

With all due respect, I think you need to go reread the previous thread. I personally believe you overreacted. The statement was not geared towards you. It was a statement of humor to which you mistook as something else.

In the end you should reconsider your leaving. It is unnecessary.

Sarah has asked that the following letter be posted on the PB on her behalf. At this time she thinks it best to keep her membership in stasis for the following reasons: "that of spending too much time there. Although my stated reason in my farewell post for leaving wasn't the reason I left so suddenly, it was the reason for which I was going to leave eventually. There are two things I must learn to a higher degree before coming back. One is self control so that I spend only a small amount of time at PB and it not become a god for me and the second learning humility. Although I will never master those to virtues this side of heaven, I should become better friends with them and learn to keep their company for longer periods of time. When I have accomplished this through God's grace I will ask if I may return."
First, I want to thank a brother from PB for taking the time to follow me from PB and showing me my sin. With that said, I want to state that when I sin I do so first and foremost against our holy and righteous God. It is because of Him that I must repent and then ask for forgiveness from mankind when mankind is touched by my sin. I do this because of the love He has placed in my heart for Him which flows to His people. Without His placing of His love in my heart for Him, I would neither desire to repent of my sin and apologize to mankind nor would I actually repent of my sin before God and thus apologize to mankind. I thank Him for His grace which allows me to do both.

I want to apologize to you all for my behavior here at PB. I want to apologize especially to those who were injured or at least touched negatively by my pride. I don't just limit my apology to the post where I accused Joshua of the worst action of which I could think. My pride is strung throughout PB. What good is it for me to know all kinds of truths if I don't love Him enough to obey His commandments? I could be as smart as (insert here who you think is very smart) and yet be a fool for not obeying the One I claim to love. Scripture tells us that if we do not love our brother whom we can see, how can we say we love God whom we cannot see? I did not esteem you all higher than myself...just the opposite. Sure, I really liked you guys and enjoyed "being around" you all, but I did not count you all worthy of Christ's love in my actions and words. I did not exhibit the fruit of the Holy Spirit myself during my time here. Pride is a very ugly thing and is something I have more of than humility. God turns His face from those who are proud but looks kindly upon those who are humble of heart. Please don't assume that just because I write these words of truth I have attained humility. I am so far from that it seems like an impossible cavern for me to cross. But cross it I must. I must put on love and put off hate, put on humility and put off pride, gentleness instead of anger. I believe God brought me to you guys to show me what has been with me since I was born. I am sorry you all had to be the instrument that God used to show me this, but I'm sure that our Father will heal any wounds I inflicted upon you all because He is not a derelict Father. I would appreciate your forgiveness and your prayers as God continues to take me on the journey of sanctification. May He bless you all richly and may His peace abide with you all and may His grace bring you through all trials and tribulations. May His love break our hearts and fill them to over flowing capacities.

Your sister in Christ,

sarah
I have been personally blessed to see such obvious and God glorifying repentance. Oh that we all would see our own sin and turn away from it completely. May we all rejoice in the good work God is doing in the heart of His precious and beloved child. Praise God for the wonderful blessings found only in Christ Jesus.

Good stuff. I have to tell you that it's not the folks that want to reconcile that cause the board the most grief but those who are like the puffed up fish in Finding Nemo that never deflate. It's always heartening for me to see people like me who sin in their anger but then calm down and are eager to be reconciled.

Sarah was never suspended and her account is in stasis upon her request. She's welcome to return when it is in her best interest.

Not sure what all happened here.

But thanks, moderators for setting a tone with standards as well as an atmosphere for genuine repentance and a way back. The blog world often lacks such order, charity and grace.

I thought that she was sincere, smart and also teachable when she was wrong (which wasn't that often, In my humble opinion). I would take it as a favor, Joe, if you sent her a link to this thread.

Thanks
Tim

She has a link to the thread, Tim. I'd be surprised if she's not checking the reaction. I'd also be surprised if she doesn't come back to the board one of these days, but also see wisdom in sorting through her thoughts for a bit first. Having your own pride revealed like that can be a bit staggering. But she'll be better for it. I think we all can relate on some level.

May we all have the same desire for humility in our posting on the PB and in our daily lives.
