Joshua 24:25-26. It says things were added to the book of the law and a covenant was made. What does this mean? What did he add and/or was it a reaffirmation of the covenant of Moses?

The essence of the covenant words testified are found in the preceding verses. And there is no sense that this covenant is anything but continuous with the original Siniatic covenant, and indeed the text directly implies continuity.

The statutes and rules are quite possibly sundry (or all) Mosaic legislation, but especially that which is pertinent to the hour. Or the meaning of those terms is that this covenant is equal to the Siniatic Law as binding law, the equivalent of a divine utterance.

As for writing the evidence of covenanting in or by (alongside) the Book of the Law, this is no more startling a statement than that the Book of Joshua (in which we read that very evidence today) has been "added-in" to the deposit of revelation. Joshua or any of the other prophetic Scripture is not of less authority than the Law. And v26 is sufficient proof of it.

Covenant renewal/reaffirmation is a common theme found in redemptive history. In fact we might see ourselves as doing it weekly when we embrace the gospel preached.
