Liberal churches dying

The United Church of Canada threw out doctrine decades ago. No wonder they're declining in numbers. All you see in their services now are a few grey heads.

They offer nothing. They do not have the gospel, and so give no hope. They serve no purpose (or at least they can't do what they mean to as well as Greenpeace or the social progressives can). Why would anyone attend a United Church?

The sooner this denomination evaporates, the better. It mars the meaning of 'Christian'.

We can take the warning from these apostates, though. We can identify patterns, and seek to avoid them.

I remember when I left the faith in 2012 I sought out a 'liberal' United church. After I attended I said to myself 'what's the point?' so I just stopped attending churches altogether. It was kinda like beer. Reformed was like drinking a nice stout, 7% alcohol and lots of flavour. The United church was like drinking low-carb beer, 3% alcohol and watery flavour. At that point, what was the point of even drinking beer?
