New Books!

[O'GodHowGreatThouArt]

There's more on the way, but here's what UPS was so kind to bring me today.

Reformed Dogmatics (4 Volumes) - Herman Bavinck

[Notthemama1984]

Nice. I bought the set just a few months ago. You will really like diving into the volumes.

[O'GodHowGreatThouArt]

Got more in today:

Calvin's Commentaries
Owen - Overcoming Sin and Temptation
Edwards - Works (2 Volumes)
Spurgeon - Sermons (5 Volumes)
Waldron - 1689 Baptist Confession of Faith: A Modern Exposition
Calvin - Institutes of the Christian Religion (Beveridge)

I'll probably give away Institutes to someone at the church if they need it. I've already got the two volume work, and have little need for another.

Then why did you buy it?

[O'GodHowGreatThouArt]

It came free with Calvin's Commentaries. I may keep it though, being a different translation.

I honestly did not know that Institutes had multiple translations. Thought French would be a little more cut-and-dry than Ancient Greek and Ancient Hebrew.

[Notthemama1984]

My grasp of the languages is much too simple to recognize which translation is better.

[Backwoods Presbyterian]

Beveridge = KJV

Battles = NIV

Surely there is more to it than that?
