New Iain Murray Book!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

[RamistThomist]

Check out the new Iain Murray book, The Old Evangelicalism: Old Truths for a New Awakening; as he is my favorite author, I must get this.

Looks good. I have read many of his books and found them all edifying.

[RamistThomist]

I have found him to be one of the most experiential calvinist speakers/writers. His analysis of modern evangelicalism is superb. I wonder how he would react to the modern movements? actually, I don't wonder; I probalby already know.

[Puritan Sailor]

Did you ever read his "Revival and Revivalism"? It is basically a critique by implication of modern evangelicalism. It is excellent. He is a great historian, and like you said, a wonderful proponent of experiential Calvinism.

[RamistThomist]

Oh yeah! I read that and Pentecost Today. They were both formative for a young guy coming out of the altar-call/Revivalism mentality.

Looks good, Jacob!

Murray is certainly one of the best modern writers around on this subject.
