It is not my intention to get short with any of you or to speak rudely I apologize and seek your forgiveness. Nor do I want to be divisive. If I cannot contain myself then I will formally resign if that is deemed neccesarry. Again my apologies.

Sincerelly,
blade

no apology necessary, my brother... my skin is thicker than that!

truthfully though, i'm tired of talking about this stuff... i just got accepted back on this board, and i'd rather get involved in some edifying discussions about the Word...

if anyone cares to pray for me, it would be greatly appreciated... i feel like the spiritual equivalent of a malnourished bolemic...

also, anyone with good advice for a church in the dallas, tx area, please advise...

thanks!

What are you looking for; Presbyterian? Reformed Baptist? etc.

wayne,
thanks for replying...

yeah... josh actually suggested i contact you since you know this area... i guess you beat me to the punch... touche!

i grew up in SBC, so i am not really all that familiar with Presbyterian or ref.bap... however, i did visit a Presbyterian church in dallas - park cities... i only visited the service once thus far, but enjoyed it... i am certainly considering visiting there more - to visit the smaller bible study groups such as young couples...

irishcat has also suggested a church in north dallas - metrocrest church (Presbyterian)... it's very near my home, so i look forward to trying them out as well...

i live in the north dallas area (plano)...

got any ideas?

Hey Ace, thought I would throw our name into the mix.

Heritage Baptist Church
201 E. Broad St.
Mansfield, TX
http://www.reformedbaptist.org
http://www.reformedbaptist.com

We're members of ARBCA, the Association of Reformed Baptist Churches in America and average about 200-250 attenders each Lord's day.

Only problem is that we are on the south end of the DFW Metroplex. However we do have several familes that drive 60+ miles to worship with us. Not sure where you are located/locating at.

You need a wake up call Sunday morning???

:bs2:

Phillip

i've been needing a wake up call for quite a while now... been too prideful to ask for one...

:chained:

:welcome: I know how you feel about how hard it is to find a good church.

Five years ago I was living in Seattle and planning to move to TX. (I was Puritansailor's roomate by the way, before we each got married and started our families!) When I got down here it was very difficult to find a good Reformed church. It seemed to be Park Cities, Arlington PCA and Heritage in mansfield. Now it seems that the Lord has graced this area with a several solid Reformed churches. Very cool.

so it seems... you guys have given me a nice little list of churches to check out... i'll could potentially be in "visitation" for years! but i'm actually excited about going to a reformed church - something i've never done before... perhaps i'll finally be discipled, taught in-depth, GROW!!!

thanks - you guys RAWK!!! :candle:
