Peter Brown's Memoirs

For those of you who may be interested, historian Peter Brown, best known for his biography of Augustine, has just published his autobiography/memoirs.

The book is Journeys of the Mind: A Life in History by Peter Brown (Princeton: Princeton University Press, 2023), xvi + 713 pages.

My copy just arrived today (thanks Dr. Amazon!) and I haven't read a line in it yet, so I can't comment. But Brown is a talented writer as well as a rigorous historian, so it should be an interesting book.

He has definitely changed my view of church history with his Cult of the Saints even though the early Father's many times are still wrong, obviously.
