Who is your favorite and who is your least favorite president?

Thomas Jefferson is my top pick followed by Jefferson Davis only because I guess he doesn't really count.

Abraham Lincoln is my least, mainly because he was the first president who was a successful tyrant and he opened the door to the big mess of a government we have today.

George Washington is the best in my opinion. I'm not prepared to say who was the worst at this point.

I suppose a vote on the worst could My vote tends to do that here in Illinois. But, most Illinoians do not know the real Lincoln. I not sure I would villify Lincoln(though hard not too, since I would not call the pharaoh of
Moses' day a saint), he did make some very imprudent decisions that violated the constitution and cost many lives. That in my opinion made him a bad president. Yet, history always sees more clearly.

The Worst Abraham Lincoln followed by a tie between the Bush Duo: Father and Son and William Clinton, thought Roosevelt is up there with is "New Deal" Measures that we are all feeling now that it is at it's end....

I used to have fun at parties by proposing D. Eisenhower as "Worst President Ever".

In fact I kind of like 'ol DD, but I could always make a good case based on the interstate highway system being the begining of the end of the south as a distinct nation within a nation.

"Resolved, That Interstate Highways Have Done More To Undermine Our Regional Distinctives Then Sherman & Grant Combined".

After one particularly inspired (by Jack Daniels Old No7) evening, a UT History prof offered to be my PhD advisor if I ever wanted to turn my party trick into real research.
