Questions about Presbyterian USA

I am not familiar with Presbyterian's really than what I have read on here. I know about paedo baptism and such, but I was wondering if I could get some insight into Presbyterian USA and their beliefs from Presbyterians on here. The reason I am asking is my sister who was raised conservative when it comes to the scriptures has started going to a Presbyterian USA church with here Boyfriend for about a year. But in the past couple of months, I have noticed her not believing in the inerrancy of scripture by saying that it has error, and she has suddenly been ok with such things as homosexuality as an ok alternative lifestyle. Is this a common USA belief or is she getting this from somewhere else? I have asked her about these issues. (I am not posting this to shed bad light on someone and hopes this does not go against the 9th commandment rule)

In general, the PC(USA) is a liberal denomination that has been moving away from the standards of Scripture for a while. I would advidse your sister to stay clear of the church.

Common beliefs? Seems so.

Acceptable beliefs? Definitely.

Not all PC(USA) churches are the same, but it seems that she is attending a liberal one and is drinking deeply from the waters thereof. What she is expressing is part-and-parcel of mainstream PC(USA)-ism.

The PCUSA is by far the largest Presbyterian denomination- it is the "mainline" one.

The denomination has fallen away from the authority of Scripture in almost every area.

The PCA separated believing itself to be a "continuing" presbyterian church about 40 years ago (with the mainline denomination falling away). The history of the intolerable situation at that time is described below. Unfortunately, it has waxed worse and worse since then to what seems like almost unbelievable apostasy (from the standpoint of biblical morality and historic presbyterianism):

Yet, there are believers and evangelical pockets of churches still within the denomination, many of which have been trying to separate but are held by lawsuits by central denomination bureaucracy.

About 30 years ago, a more "broadly evangelical" denomination, the EPC separated over similar concerns as the PCA but without the firm commitment to the reformed theology, but more of a conservative reaction to the denial of even the basic tenets of biblical Christianity.

The EPC is at present receiving departing PCUSA churches with churches that have "ordained" women, and are wearied from defending even the basic beliefs of the Christian religion, the reformed distinctives of presbyterianism having been mostly lost years ago.

Many brothers in the Lord will one day find their way back to historic, biblical reformed presbyterianism in places like PCA, OPC, ARP and others.

My drunken, philandering father was a Ruling Elder in that denom. It was instrumental in keeping him innoculated against the gospel until his death. I despise it.
