If you had to choose between Scott's Commentary and Matthew Henry's, which would you choose. Please tell why.
I am referring to the unabridged editions of each, not to the combined 3 vol edition(abridged?)
Thanks in advance:detective:

Easy Choice for me.

I own and have read both sets.

Scott's Commentaries are, in my opinion superior to Matthew Henry's work both in biblical explication and devotional application.

The Force of Truth was an excellent read as well!

Is there a abridged edition of Scott ? Is it still aviable ?

I have come across the occasional 3vol abridged(?) set on ebay. From the comments posted so far, a reprint of the unabridged 6vol set is long overdue!!!
