The Pope is a weenie

One thing that irritates the snot out of me is how pc=ism has made it to every level... heck, the term "politically correct" is just a "pc" way of saying "emasculated."

An example: A few days ago the Pope quoted some old-school RC position saying that Islam and Mohammed are evil... and it got the Muslims in a tizzy (when aren't they having a fit about something?) and now the Pope is saying that he regrets those words.

Give me a break! If I was the pope I'd say, "Look, I'm the freakin' pope! I'll say what I want and you'll deal with it or else I'll call for a crusade!"

Ditto,
As wrong as their view of infallibility is, heck, if I had it, given their presuppositions, I would go hay-wire with it.

Coptic Pope Shenouda III said in published remarks that he didn't hear Benedict's exact words but that "any remarks which offend Islam and Muslims are against the teachings of Christ."
from FoxNews website

So who is the biggest weenie, Shenouda or Benedict?

How about this one Shenouda, "I am the Way, the Truth and the Life. No man comes to the Father except through me". Is this offensive?

I've gotten to the point where I don't even try to be PC or (PE) as Ben says. I get especially irritated when the pronunciation of words gets changed by the ner' do wells (Niger, for example). How can that possibly be Nejair?

The pope, in his response, should have cocked his head back, looked down the end of his nose, and said, "surely you're misinformed if you think any differently."

Those weren't even the Pope's words.

The Pope was quoting a 14th-century Byzantine emperor.

How Islam never changes. Same stuff happening in the 1300's as they are happening today.

As the ladies and gentleman of the Religion of Peace continue their characteristically reasonable and proportionate response to the Pope's speech, they have called for further apology.

Obviously, there isn't enough storage or bandwidth to contain an acceptable apology but let's help our papal friend out because he is a paedo-baptist and he likes beer. What should be included in a suitable apology?

1. I am sorry I wear a funny hat. I didn't mean to imply that I was making fun of the table cloth on your head. Starting today I will wear a gingham mitre.

2. I'm sorry about the crusades, the church was an angst-ridden teenager in the 1100s, now we just want to get along and live out our retirement in peace. We're OK, you're OK. Come, let us watch Matlock together.

The Pope was brilliant.
He called them a bunch of thugs, out of someone else's mouth.
