Marrow Man

Drunk with Powder
It got down close to 0 last night (local news said -1 when I got up this morning). I know all you northern folks think I'm a wimp, but for a Georgia boy who rarely saw the ol' thermometer dip below 32 degrees growing up, this is taking some adjustment.

Today I have to conduct a funeral service. And yes, there will be a graveside service to follow. Brrr. I decided to wear flannel underwear this morning.

I know, TMI.

-20 here yesterday morning (Yes, that's 20 below 0....); and that was without the windchill, which, I might add, was pretty severe.

-18 here in Indiana this morning and only a high of -2 yesterday (yes, that's without the wind chill!). They say that its the coldest temps in 15 years in our area.

My radio powered digital thermometer said 12 degrees this morning..... because it couldn't deal with the fact IT WAS 22 BELOW ZERO. Thermometer was probably made in Georgia.

-22 hurts.

-28 when I got up.... looks like about -20 now. Actually down in the river valley and not up here on the hill at school it was -35 according to the van thermometer ;)

I can't say that I've ever been in -22 degree weather, probably only -5 or -10. But It seems to me that anything under 20 degrees is pretty much the same. It's all cold.

Apparently it was down to -11.5 this morning. Fortunately I don't have to go anywhere today. I can stay inside and drink hot chocolate. :)

In celebration of the 10 degree high for today I submit the following:

-1 here this morning.

While most of us were grousing about the cold weather this is what Zenas was doing early this morning....
Oh, gee thanks, James. Now we're all walking around trying to put mental images of Andrew in a speedo out of our minds. It's just too terrifying to endure...

I'm sure they taught us to count much higher than 12 in Georgia. And what are negative numbers...

Did I mention I was a high school math teacher in Georgia for 11 years?
