Not what I would call a UFO. The closest thing I guess would be a falling star that I saw - it was not a shooting star, as it was definitely going in a vertical curve toward the horizon, and was much slower than a shooting star, as it was clearly visible in its continual fall for probably 6-7 seconds.

Hmmmmm shooting star.

That topic though a bit off subject has a special place in my Christian walk.
It is part of my testimony:

When I was a heathen and had been reading the New Testament for about 6-7 months I was sitting on the shore of Mission Beach in San Diego one evening by myself and I prayed to God (as I held the little Gideon's version in my hand) that if this book was the truth that he would give me a sign. Now I had already been convicted of my sin upon reading Christ's words and had done the sinner's prayer, etc. but I was still living like hell.

No sooner had I prayed that prayer than a shooting star dropped from the sky directly in my line of vision. I have to say that it "freaked me out" and that I kept it in my heart and pondered it for many years since. It is especially unusual for a couple of reasons for me. One being that, normally, at night on the coast there is usually a thin layer of clouds that obscure the view of the stars (as there was that night) but this object happened to fall right through a hole in the cloud coverage that night.

It still amazes me to think on it today. That was in 1988. I have not seen a shooting star since then.

I haven't seen one but these two guys said they were going to pick me up later and take my to the planet Ramshack so I'd imagine I'll see one soon.:um:

That was probably a satelite Chris. You can see those once and a while. I use to do a lot of start watching when I was younger. One night my friend and I counted 26 shooting stars, some meteors, some satelites. It was neat.

I actually have seen UFO's as it is correctlly defined Unidentifiable Flying Object. Ony God knows who or what it was. But none the less Ive seen em. And Ive seen plenty of meteors or shooting stars to know the differnce since I gaze up at the stars almost every night. Ive seen the Aurora Borealis twice. Ive seen plenty of satalites. Im not syaing the UFO's I saw are alien per se. I cant say there not there is alot to the universe God created that I just dont know I cant rule it out I cant rule it in. What I can say is regardless God is the best creator I know I would love to live in the heavens among the stars forever. :)

Did you ever see a satellite go out of the sun's light in near mid sky. Pretty cool if you ask me. It's there one second and then fades out fairly quick.

Based on the composition of the universe for inhabiting life, I would say that life anywhere else is a non-issue. In the end, only this earth will have inhabited the Son of God and the heavens will pass away being renewed. This will be the center of attention.

In terms of UFOs right now, I'd go with they are demonic manifestations.

IF UFOs were real, they would hold significant opposition to the biblical record in terms of the fall, and many eschtological themes in terms of the final state of men. UFOs (like ghosts and things) call into question the veracity of the Scriptures.

I think they are dupes Satan uses to coerce people away from the Scriptures and to encompass something else that seems mystical.

Aside from that, I love Sci-fi movies.

I agree with this.We must remember that angels are creatures and can be seen when they want to be.The demons show themselves in a deceitful way.

Amen to that. There are some good books on the issue. There are some crazy books on the issue. You could even ask a radio talk show host Art Bell who spends a great amount of time trying to figure it out. I think I would just stick to Matts definition. It is less complex. Take them like an Apparition of some demonic force. That is probably what it is.

Hey man dont be dissin art bell he has the best late night talk show around :)

I know he has weirdoes but man that is the best part :)

Matt,
I concur it very well be that their are UFO's in the sense of how its defined today. Aline aka Demons ;)

What about IFO's? (Identified Flying Objects)

I've seen the spaceship when it's docked to the space station. How do I know? Well, because I saw it of course. :) Actually, my sister the NASA fan pointed it out to me, and it's a little star-like dot a bit bigger than a satellite. I've seen a large meteor. And Wow! That was something. It was about the size of a softball, bluish in color, and it appeared to go flying by at low plane level. They thought it hit a mobil home across the border in Canada (it didn't). And I've seen a number of meteor showers, also spectacular. One shower I saw a falling star every 2-5 minutes. That was amazing!

I've also seen two fireballs. One was about the size of a roll of insulation rolling through the trees, and the other was farther away and about the size of a cantalope.

I agree with Matt.

There are only two type of powers in the universe The power of God and the power of Satan. So whatever is not from God is from Satan...If anyone perceives to see an UFO, I'm more inclined to think it's from Satan.
