What would Calvin think today?

[wturri78]

From the Institutes:

"If ignorance of God is to be looked for anywhere, surely one is most likely to find an example of it among the more backward folk and those more remote from civilization."

Remote places like the European Union and a good chunk of the United States, I suppose?

Funny--with all our satellites, cell phones, and wonder drugs, our culture is more "backward" now than those who really are remote from civilization.

Just some Friday morning pontification!

What would Calvin think today?

"SOMEBODY GET ME OUT OF THIS COFFIN!" (but, in French, of course).

[wturri78]

OK, that was funny!

[TaylorOtwell]

He would weep uncontrollably.

Too bad nobody knows where he is buried

Amazing how depraved men turn back to Rome so quickly. Let's pray for another--a "Modern Reformation"

I think he would be preparing to change the face of the church by the Word and Spirit of God.

May we all do the same!
