where can i purchase the "Sing Psalms" Psalter?

I have been looking everywhere online and i can't find it...the free churches website says they have a bookstore but i don't think it's online.

Well, we use the 1650, which you could get your hands on for just under $8 via Reformation Heritage Books!

If you go to the Free Church Bookshop website and click on Free Church E Books, I believe you will get hard copies of Sing Psalms there in the section on "Worship" . It seems a tad confusing that the section of the website is called Free Church E Books if hard copies are there.

Just to be sure email Charles Douglas, the bookshop manager to check. Maybe you could indicate that it is a bit confusing.

There are of course a number of editions: words only, together with the Scottish Psalter; split-leaf with sol-fah tunes; and split-leaf with staff tunes. Crossbearer89 will have to make clear which one he/she is after.

What about "Sing Scripture"?

Some hold to this position e.g. Dr Scott Clark.

But the Psalms have a preeminence over other Scripture songs or paraphrases of prose parts of Scripture, which should be recognised, the Psalms being the God-given songbook of the Israel of God (Gal.6:16).

Along with the eminent Puritan subscribers to the preface to the 1673 edition of the Scottish Psalter (qv) I do not deny that there is a place for other sound songs than the Psalms, but for a number of reasons it is best to keep them out of the stated services
