Greenville Masters program for ruling elders and deacons.

Hello, friends. It's been a while.

I'm wondering if any of you have first-hand knowledge--second-hand, at most--of GPTS' Masters program for ruling elders and deacons. I'm about to (finally, at age 46) complete a bachelor's degree and am again considering whether or not formal theological education is something that I want to pursue (I believe that it is). This program is one of a number I've looked at, and the only one I've seen specifically geared toward REs. (I saw one previous thread on it here, but it's from over a decade ago.)

If anyone has any first- or second-hand insight, I'd appreciate it.

I don't have an answer for you, but I wanted to say congrats on working through your undergrad! What is it in and from where? Also, I think it's a great idea for Elders and Deacons having a theological education and officer-related training, even if it is brief.

Thanks for the input. I'm finishing up a BS in cybersecurity from Western Governors University. I'll likely do a related graduate degree as well, but the thought of seminary either before or after that is coming back up in my mind.

I found that post helpful. I'm just wondering if anyone with more recent knowledge (especially first-hand) might be able to chime in. A lot can change in 10+ years.
