You can also find a cheap way to remove your own appendix.
I'd suggest finding a good local estate attorney to advise you on this one (any attorneys in your church?). I don't know how complex your finances are, but you should at least get the advice (Ramsey doesn't have expertise on this one since a) he doesn't have a law degree b) estate law is handled almost purely at state level).

A few thoughts
Aren't you contemplating a move sometime in the near future? There is some difference state to state on the requirements, although there has been significant convergence over the last few decades. But tax consequences do vary.
If you don't have any money, what are you going to dispose of in the will. What do you need to do that the state laws covering intestate decedents won't cover?
If you are dealing with how you want your minor children cared for if both you and your wife die, you may be looking for something more than you'll find in a simple fill in the blank form. And in that case, you do need to talk to an attorney where you will be living.
Shop around - simple wills and testamentary trusts aren't that expensive. And it sounds like you don't really need complex estate planning. And there may be an attorney in your congregation that would offer a discount to a pastor in your circumstances.

This is my counsel as well. A friend of mine does this type of law, and he really advises away from that sort of thing. Obviously they're competition to him, but in this case, I think having a local attorney help you out is worth saving up to make the expense. You may try and see if there's somebody in your church or a someone in the local area that'd be willing to help you do this - I don't know what you do for employment, but a work-swap might be a way to pay for it cheaply.
