abbreviations

Maybe I am not quite with it but could someone explain the frequent abbreviations that appear in threads.

I think I have worked out that BTW is 'by the way', although I did wonder if it meant 'Buy Thermal Woolies'. I take it that LOL is not the 'Loyal Orange Lodge' but 'lots of love'. I haven't worked out In my humble opinion which comes up regularly as does another abbreviation which I came across but which IHF.

The only abbreviations I know are SWALK but that doesn't seem to appear on the PB (now I know that one)

So for folks like me, what are all these commonly used abbreviations?

I've never heard of IHF
